Silas is the type of guy you've known forever when you first meet him.  Doctorates, accolades and connections aside, the man might as well be a seasoned cowboy if one didn't know better.  Some people have the ability to make you feel comfortable.  Silas must have trained those people—because he is the master.

What makes Silas so intriguing to me is his approach to counseling.  What type of counselor can heal and minister to people by simply letting you spend time with him?!  What, no insurance form, credit card, medical records?  No psycho-evaluations or ink-blot tests?

No—just Silas, Mt. Hood, pear orchards, and peace.  Simply put, Silas knows where the healing waters are and he helps countless others remember how to drink all over again.

I am so grateful... his willingness to open his home and his heart to others is changing lives for Christ and His kingdom one tired pilgrim at a time.
